attended the MySpace platform launch party in San Francisco last night where the company was following Max Levchin's social networking platform launch HOWTO by putting its most successful third-party developers in the spotlight.
Slide CTO Jeremiah Robison said, "When we got the API's from MySpace on Thursday, we took what we had already created on Hi5, dropped it into the container, and it pretty much just worked." That's music to an ISV's ears. Less work, larger addressable market.
RockYou CTO Jia Shen said, "The success that we've had on Facebook, we're going to get a chance to repeat that on MySpace." Boom.
