Last week's SEED Conference was well worth the trip. I went to hear Jason Fried of 37signals speak and wasn't disappointed—his presentation, though marred somewhat by AV problems, was inspirational. But I also got to see talks by world-class designer Carlos Segura, gonzo entrepreneur Jim Coudal, and architecture critic Edward Lifson, who is a fantastic teacher.
The combination of personalities and topics was refreshing and was further enhanced the setting: Rem Koolhaas' Tribune Student Center. If the event had a downside, it was that it was too short. I don't often say that about conferences.
That, and it was -2°F outside. (See the last slide in the slideshow.)
