You know, I'm really not a big enough geek to actually drive around town and check out the lines at various AT&T stores. I'm not. Really. But my coffee maker is broken, so I needed to make a Starbuck's run anyway (Cafe Med is too far away for a quick cup, and I was just there yesterday anyway) so I decided to swing by a couple of retail outlets to get an idea of the wait I'll face later today.
As it turns out, the line at Starbuck's was longer than the line at either AT&T store I drove by. Yes, I'll be visiting one of them later this afternoon. No, I'm not going to tell you which one. The rest of you Apple Hajjis can just go get in line at the Apple Store.
Mmm... iPhone.
Speaking of which, a friend recently asked me if I was really going to buy a $600 cell phone, to which I dryly replied, "You're talking to someone who paid $700 for a Newton." End of conversation.

you should have asked him how much he spends at Starbucks over 2 years - the likely life of iPhone?
